I was born March 25, 1952 in Bridgeport, Connecticut during
a raging blizzard. Although this difficult entrance into the world might
be the cause of some of the crazy things I do, I suspect the real culprit
is the mercury in my brain caused by many years of regularly consuming
tuna salad sandwiches. Musically, I was (like Duck) a victim of the first
Beatles performance on the Ed Sullivan show. Ringo shook his head, the
girls screamed, and I started drum lessons. I played with several bands
throughout the sixties including
The Angry Sun, a progressive rock outfit that was the first band in
southern Connecticut to cover Jethro Tull and Led Zeppelin tunes. In 1970,
I went off to the University of Miami to study Electrical Engineering and
left the drums behind. However, I also studied music theory and analog
synthesis at Miami, and developed a taste for electronic music. I moved to
Boulder in 1974 to complete my education at the University of Colorado and
never left. Since the late eighties, I have been composing and recording
electronic music, and playing percussion on an electronic drum kit. I also
collaborate
with Freddie Tane (guitar player for The Angry Sun) on a variety of
musical projects. Several years ago I dusted off my acoustic drum kit and
once again began performing live with “Acoustic Riffraff”, “The
Weekerlys,” and the backup band for the
Wildflower School of Voice. Then I heard that Boomersaurus was in need
of a drummer, so I dropped by one Saturday to check them out. We played
four hours straight and have been playing together ever since. |

• Favorite Radio Station: The MP3/CD player in my Jeep. |
| • First Car: 1971
Camaro with a 350 and a Hurst four speed. |
| • First Instrument:
An early sixties white-pearl Slingerland drum set with one 20” Avedis
Zildjian cymbal. |
| • Present Gear: A
chained-together late sixties black-pearl three-piece Slingerland drum kit
with a steel chrome snare, six early-sixties Avedis Zildjian cymbals and
Tama hardware. Any drummer that doesn’t have to chain his/her drums
together just isn’t trying hard enough. |

Early James Bond, American Graffiti, Star Wars, The Right Stuff, Apollo 13
(I missed the first 12 Apollo flicks) and That Thing You Do. |
